"Below Mont Blanc" oil painting

This was started as a demonstration piece using a palette knife at our local art group, and then finished off back at the studio, it measures 40cm x 40cm and can be found on the artfinder website.
The painting was produced from a watercolour sketch I did sometime ago after visiting the area.

With a window of opportunity with this unseasonably weather we're having, I decided to grab the chance of a couple hours painting on Dartmoor, unfortunately we had a downpour half way through the session, which caused the paint to run, so had to correct the mishap.
