Blue boat Line and wash watercolour

I love the line and wash watercolours of the late Edward Wesson, here I have used a sharpened stick and ink to give a varied mark, once dry I laid in the watercolour wash in a loose style, I find that this spontanious way of working gives the work a fresh lively effect, your comments would be appreciated.

Mist our border collie puppy in watercolour

Here we have a watercolour I painted of our border collie puppy "Mist" over the weekend, It was taken from a photograph of her when she was twelve weeks old, even though she is still only seventeen weeks there is quite a change in her, she is so adorable.

Watercolour workshop with Iain Grant

Wednesday we had a workshop with Iain Grant, who is a local artist living just outside of Tavistock, a enthusiastic watercolourist who paints in a wet into wet style, he got us to follow in easy steps from the drawing to the completed painting, the painting subject was a scene of part of the Dockyard in Plymouth, which has since been sold off to developers, and is now private apartments and commercial units, here is Iain's painting of the scene which we had to follow.
