Blind contour drawing workshop

Blind contour drawing, what is it?, well on Monday we had a workshop doing exactly what it says, drawing a contour image without looking at your work until you have finished, fascinating, we were asked to draw our non drawing hand by looking at the contour of the hand and slowly scan in one continual line, this excercise is supposed to help hand/eye cordination, I have placed an image of my efforts, which I was fairly pleased with, will try a self portrait at some stage using this method.

Harbour seascape scene with boats at low tide

This watercolour was finished today, it is a commission where I was asked to create a scene from my imagination incorporating subjects that she wanted in the seascape, this scene would be typical of a westcountry fishing harbour.
