"Cotehele House" National trust property watercolour

This is a watercolour following a workshop with Michael Hill done last week at Cotehele house in Cornwall, it is a National trust property with beautiful buildings and gardens, plenty of inspiration, the only drawback was the weather which changed for the worst after about an hour of sketching outside, we then withdrew to inside where we completed two watercolours.

Line and watercolour of the Plymouth barbican

Whilst in Plymouth the other day having my car serviced, I decided to go to the barbican and complete some quick sketches, this was one Southside street that I decided to do at home using ink and a watercolour wash, kept it quite loose to get a fresh lively look.

Thames barge watercolour sketch

A small quick watercolour sketch of the thames barges at low tide, with very little detail to give just an impression, roughly sketched in with a 2b pencil and then laid in the washes.
