Pottery jug with flowers, watercolour study in the style of John Yardley.

This watercolour study was done following reading a book about John Yardley who's work I also admire, I saw this jug of flowers that my wife was preparing to display, the light that was reflecting off the jug inspired me to try his loose style of working, this painting will be entered into the Walkhampton art exhibition starting on the 28th August 2012.

Saltram, National trust property, plein air study in watercolour.

This watercolour study of part of Saltram house estate near Plymouth, was done when the weather was atrocious, and I had to sit in the car with the windscreen wipers going to see what I was doing, was quite satisfied with the final outcome.
